Moms are truly amazing and it's a privilege to celebrate them this week and every week throughout the year. They not only impact our daily lives, but they're also making a difference in our community.
I got a chance to connect with Phyllis Rabinowitz, an #AmazingMom who battled through a tragic loss to make a difference for other moms and families through her incredible work advocating for children's healthcare.
Phyllis is the Co-President of the R Baby Foundation, an organization she founded with her husband Andrew after a misdiagnosed infection led to the loss of their young daughter nine days after her birth.
They created the R Baby Foundation to help newborn babies receive the highest quality of care and service through supporting education, research, training, and life-saving equipment. It's alarming to know that not all emergency rooms, doctors, and healthcare facilities are equipped or knowledgeable in handling emergency infant care.
R Baby Foundation recently launched a campaign to help bring life-saving care to children who need it on Change.org.
We're honored by Phyllis's willingness to share her story and applaud her strength and determination in turning the most difficult situation a parent can experience into a message of hope and positive change.
