Quote:  “How are you, really?”  ~Jenna Kutcher

We get asked “how are you?” all the time, but when Kelly saw the book How are You, Really? her interest peaked, because of the last word, “really.”  The extra step in asking the second version is not something we tend to ask or be asked, but why?   We have been conditioned to live our lives in a fast paced society where our attention span is about 30 seconds, and we don’t give ourselves permission to get in touch with our feelings.  When we realize that if we just vocalize our true feelings, even when they are scary or unsettling, we stop the “spin” in our heads and the thoughts actually lose some power.

This practice of asking “How are you, really?” can be very helpful when we ask it to ourselves, but it can also deepen our relationships when we ask this question.

So, during this episode, we want to challenge our listeners to ask this question, “How are you, really?”  And allow yourself the time and space to explore the answer as you reflect and look inward.  The will be liberating for you and also have a big impact on your key relationships as well.

If you are interested in going deeper on this topic, we encourage you to get Jenna Kutcher’s book  How are You, Really?  You can find it on Amazon here:  https://www.amazon.com/How-Are-You-Really-Living/dp/0063221942/ref=sr_1_1?crid=FDK58O42K6C2&keywords=how+are+you+really+jenna+kutcher&qid=1660271293&sprefix=how+are+you+%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-1
