When an alien aircraft enters Washington D.C. airspace during an international summit the Justice League leaps into action. They soon take down that ship only with the help of another unknown vessel following right behind. Hawkgirl identifies the second spaceship as belonging to her people, the Thanagarians. Their leader convinces the heroes of this planet that the Earth is in danger from some alien creatures that the Thanagarians have fought in the past. They say that Earth’s defenses are too weak. They claim we will not survive without their power and experience behind us. In a short period of time, it becomes clear that the Thanagarians have other motives.
