Toni and Emily invite HPP assistant manager and certified cat lady: Lindsay onto the show to talk all things cats! Lindsay has 7 cats and knows the ins and outs of cat life. She has been through everything from picky eating to raw feeding and introducing a new cat. Toni and Emily talk in depth with Lindsay about how she recommends and handles transitioning cats and kittens to new food. Cats are very sensitive to textures, they even imprint on certain shapes, and textured foods. It can be very challenging to put a cat at any age on a new food! 

• Toni, Emily, and Lindsay summarize the number of cats Lindsay has, how she acquired so many cats, and what has led her to being such a fan of cats! They enjoy small banter about their experience with cats and the quirky stories about adding to cats to the colony, and Emily's experience with her cat. They talk about how they started their cats on raw food, and rotating foods since they were kittens, and how it can be challenging to transition an older cat to a new food.
• Lindsay takes the time to talk with Toni and Emily about tips and tricks for transitioning your cat to a new food. They also expand on the importance and relevance of rotating your cat's proteins and textures. Just like dogs, cats need to be exposed to new proteins and textures to fill nutritional gaps, boost their immune system, and prevent the struggle of picky eating.
