Karen grew up with creatives and while she went to church as a child, it wasn't until her freshman year that she made the decision to have a personal relationship with the Lord. She asked God for three things, that if she was to give her life, she didn't want to tell people about him, she didn't want to be a missionary, and she didn't want to go to Africa. But God had other plans and made all three happen! But today, Karen proudly tells of how these three things have been three of the best things that have ever happened to her!
In Karen's early career of producing, it came to light that there was a huge divide between Hollywood and the Church, and in turn felt that Christians were either discouraged from entering the world of entertainment, or unsupported if they did. This is where Hollywood Prayer Network was birthed, and has since become an incredible industry for Christian entertainers to be covered by prayer, to be supported and to be part of a community who share the calling of being in entertainment for the Lord. It has since also helped to bridge the divide between churches and entertainment and the work they have done and are continuing to do is absolutely phenomenal!
