I speak with veteran Officer Raul Rivas, who responded to the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando on June 12, 2016 with his SWAT team, where they engaged and killed the shooter in a horrific firefight, but not before he tragically murdered 49 LGTBQ young men and women inside the club. It is a story of mental trauma and resilience and how Officer Rivas, through culturally competent therapy, found help, pulled himself back from the abyss of severe depression and began a relentless quest to help other frontline men and women in crisis.
