Description

I speak with Detective Dan Andrews, father and husband, about his 27 years of work as a Denver patrol officer, cold case investigator, Night Shift Unit team member and homicide detective. We discuss how his service as a high school volunteer with Arapahoe County Search and Rescue helped prepare him for the highest standards of emergency response and taught him the imperative of advocating for the victim day or night, and always to their case's end.  We share insights about the challenges of self care and spiritual health while balancing our own fatigue and stressors amidst the unrelenting ask of front line work.
