The conclusion to the story of baby Aaliyah Sofia. WARNING: DEATH OF A BABY.
This is a cautionary tale. Parents please do not leave a child in the bathtub unattended. This tragedy can happen to many parents, you are not alone. This story is meant to spread awareness to any new parents or experienced. Let this story reflect a beautiful angel that was Aaliyah, a grieving mother, and what the road to healing looks like. This is Jen's story. I want everyone to focus only on Aaliyah's story. People grieve in many ways. Grieving does not come with an end period when a person stops grieving. You never quite get over a death 10years, 20years, 30 years, or any years from now. This is her process, and no one can take away what this mother has experienced. Jen continues to champion through a life where everyone has unsolicited opinions but again, we do not hear solutions being offered. This girl deserves to speak about her daughter in a safe space. There is a lot that we cannot say, but this story is not about Mitch or his family, they are non-factors in this story. Everyone needs to listen to this story, so we do not repeat patterns. Jen is currently thriving. She works full time, furthering her degree In Criminal Justice, Jen is a mom of 2, and she advocates for her son who is on the spectrum. Jen continues to parent on her own without anyone helping her do so. This Mother is strong. Let her strength be told. This story is about being resilient and how we can begin the healing process when an apology or an explanation were not offered to her the person who deserved to know the truth about the chain of events that unfolded that faithful morning of Feb 17th 2018. The healing comes from within and asking God for strength in these moments. RIP Baby Aaliyah. May your mom find healing and turn your story into a cautionary story every parent should hear.
