This Episode was all Annie's idea and we had a blast doing it! Even though Annie and I were not in high school together, because I attended the same school for undergraduate and graduate studies, we were together at school for about two years. In those two years, we saw a lot of movies and rocked out to a shit-ton of music. I loved that Annie honed in on thinking about cover songs that were recorded during the ten-year span we were both in college: for me, starting in 1986 for undergrad and finishing my M.Ed in 1994; and Annie started school in 1992 and graduated in 1996. GOOD TIMES.
And between this episode and the Cover Songs episode that Chris and I did earlier in the season, I've certainly come to realize that this form of flattery, if you want to call it that, is a science and art all in itself. Annie defines this to a certain extent during our conversation, and it makes so much sense.
