Today we have our first of three episodes about the Netflix show Heartstopper. Based off a graphic novel, it is the story of Nick and Charlie that tells how they meet and fall in love. Today I talk about what I love about the show (which is most of it!), what I don't love (how Tao ignores what Charlie needs and Elle's outing of Narlie), and some other thoughts. This really is my favorite show, so I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I loved making it. Oh, and listen for the Princess Diaries reference....
Here are some links to things I've written about Heartstopper. This is a piece I wrote about the names of the Heartstopper episodes. Here is my review of the first season. And here is an open letter I wrote to Netflix to ask them to renew Heartstopper.
Next week, the show will be a conversation with Brian G. Murphy and Pastor Kari Parsons about the show. Two weeks after that, I am really excited to have a special guest on the show who has done some wonderful artistic things related to Heartstopper. Because of this special episode, every other episode will be pushed back one week and the last episode will be on December 22nd not December 8th.
