As homesteaders and homestead dreams, we have become aware that we need to take some control of our food supply. This is what we all have in common. We no longer want to just be dependent on grocery stores to provide food for us.
I think the idea of multiple income streams really resonates with most people. It sounds wise to have multiple streams of income for security and financial freedom. But, what makes homesteaders different from the rest of the world is that we understand the need to be prepared.
This is why I teach about the 3 Income Homestead Streams. Those are on-homestead income, off-homestead income and online income.
These diverse income streams allow us to prepare for when we need to shift with current events. We all understand we don’t know what the future holds and we need to be prepared for different scenarios. There will be times you may lean into one income stream more heavily than the others. This type of thought process also goes beyond just making money. It’s also about being a part of a local community and being a person someone can count on for a product or service others need. I believe this is a more holistic way to think about income.
Today I’m going to discuss with my friend Jason from the Plans and Provisions Podcast about 5 Homestead Income Mistakes to Avoid. Some of these mistakes my husband and I have made and we really don't want you to make the same mistakes.
