Gladys Oliveros grew up on the hard streets of Medellin Colombia in the 80's-90's and then migrated to Boston to receive her much desired education. She has since become a cultural icon, youth mentor and a political advocate for the Latino and LGBT community. She is currently the City of Boston's Latin X advisor of Cultural affairs and is the Founder of La Casa de la Cultura in East Boston
