Today, I'm taking a deep dive into understanding happiness and how you can learn to be happy by just being yourself. Too often we think that happiness comes from other people and material things. We think we're happy when we're going out with friends on the weekend, or when we get a new phone or car, or when our Instagram post blows up and we get a lot of likes. But I'm here to tell you that's not real happiness because the minute the high wears off or you wake up the next morning hung over that happiness is gone.

If you want to achieve true happiness, you have to look within and you have to be okay with yourself. It's called doing the work and healing your traumas. When you're able to be with just you, your thoughts, and your feelings and feel a sense of peace, that's happiness. When you're able to not worry about what your friends, your coworkers, or what anyone else is doing, that's happiness. Realize that life is not a competition with others, it's about achieving your best self and that your happiness stems from you.

I have a new challenge for you this week. Find a picture of your younger self, a baby picture works great., and tape it to the mirror in your bathroom. Every day, I want you to look at that picture and remember what it's like to be a kid. Remember that life is easy, that you can be happy, and that version of you still exists.
