Description

For five decades, Clayton Burtsfield has been an integral part of the Missoula Mavericks organization in many ways: player parent, board member, president of the organization, and volunteer extraordinaire to name just a few. The role that he is perhaps most proud of is his work with the group that helped plan, develop, and build Lindborgh-Cregg Field. In 2021, the Mavericks dedicated their new indoor training facility, the Clayton Burtsfield Warehouse, to honor him for his years of efforts. In this inaugural episode of the Missoula Mavericks history podcast (MavsPod), Clayton discusses his role as the field manager of the facility, his love of baseball, and building of the field in 1987.
