Description

Short staffing, burdened employees, and growing demand for healthcare services – are some of the challenges facing today's practice environment. The Mercer report highlights the significant shortage of healthcare workers expected to occur in the United States by 2025. This shortage is projected to include a deficit of approximately 446,000 home health aides, 95,000 nursing assistants, 98,700 medical and lab technologists and technicians, and more than 29,000 nurse practitioners. The aging of the population is one of the key factors driving this shortage of healthcare workers. As the baby boomer generation ages, there is a growing demand for healthcare services.
