Description

Ashley Danenhower is a person who has lived many lives, someone who has been motivated to try new situations, and is a resilient person. From living and working at Arcosanti, an Archology in Cordes Junction, Arizona; to apprenticing under Robert Ault the co-founder of the American Association of Art Therapy in Topeka, Kansas; to working for Homeland Security in different departments and states; to being honored with the inclusion as a hearing volunteer within a deaf community in Santa Fe, New Mexico; to working with nursing home programs, in Southern Colorado to integrate animal therapy to decrease the feelings associated with transitioning, away from everything that is familiar. An abundance of life experiences in her journey exploring a variety of modalities across the United States of America as well as abroad, has allowed her to comfortably navigate and help facilitate culturally and ethnically diverse populations. Ashley Danenhower can meet her clients where they are, using these life experiences.

 

Ashley Danenhower holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lesley University in studio art and psychology, and her master’s in social work with a clinical concentration. She has helped establish 1 nonprofit equine-assisted service program in Southern Colorado, and 1 for profit equine-assisted EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) program in the Upstate of South Carolina, before moving back home to the ‘Quiet Corner of Connecticut.’ Ashley serves on the Economic Development Committee as a board member in the town of Pomfret, CT and she also is building her own business as a Social Worker, currently a Licensed Master Social Worker in the States of Massachusetts, South Carolina, and Connecticut. Ashley Danenhower’s business: is An Inner Lens, LLC, established in 2020, which is based on her perspectives from within several different outlooks, very much like a kaleidoscope into our soul. She is working to establish an integrative mental health service that creates opportunities for clients to heal in different ways using rescued equines, art in therapy, psychotherapy and social work informed Reiki that can stand alone and be a supplemental service to her local communities.
