This episode of the Good Counsel Podcast contains a portion of the material from a live continuing education seminar that I presented in 2024 on Prolonged Grief Disorder and Substance Use Disorders. Subjects covered include the distinction between grief and prolonged grief disorder in addition to the goals of therapy for people suffering from acute grief reactions. Additionally, I discuss some of the research and conceptualizations of grief models from a behavioral health perspective.
