#53: Wild Pregnancy & Free Birth - with Bec Oakaiah

In this raw and activating episode, I sit down with traditional birthkeeper Bec Oakaiah, The Jurassic Coast Birthkeeper, for a powerful conversation on wild pregnancy, freebirth and reclaiming physiological birth in a culture that has almost forgotten what women's bodies are capable of.

This is a conversation for any woman who is dreaming of pregnancy, preparing for conception, already pregnant, or simply feels a quiet pull that birth could be more wild, more holy, and more hers than the stories she's been given.

Together we dive into:

About Our Guest, Bec, The Jurassic Coast Birthkeeper

Bec is a traditional birthkeeper rooted on England's Jurassic Coast. She midwifes the soul through holistic birth, death and all the thresholds in between. Her work centres on the liberation and protection of physiological birth, the remembrance of ancient and indigenous birth wisdom, and guiding women back to unshakeable trust in their own bodies, babies and inner authority.

She walks with women – especially first-time mothers – who are called to wild pregnancy, freebirth and home birth, and also tends to the wider field of birthworkers through education, mentorship and community devoted to the reclamation of birth as a rite of passage.
