In episode 49 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield explore another long-term couple! With a successful 27-year marriage, popular LIVE! host, Kelly Ripa and her Husband (and now Co-Host) Mark Consuelos, definitely have some intense chemistry!
Initially we look at Kelly's chart and encounter a slew of Virgo placements, including her Rising sign. This gives her that distinct polished and meticulously put-together look, while Mercury sits on the Ascendent, providing an ever-curious intellect. Combined with her Sun in Libra (and Uranus conjunction), this is a dynamic and social humanitarian that is always wanting to hear people's stories.
Afterward, we peer into Mark's chart and immediately find a strong and willful Aries Sun. In some cases, he can be a show off, but with a soft and loving Venus in Pisces, his romantic side is equally as strong. Interestingly, we find two major T-squares involving both the Sun and the Moon - both the masculine and feminine energies are challenged here which can lead to difficulties when it comes to expression.
Looking at their synastry, we immediately see opposing Sun signs - proving that both feel seen and acknowledged in this partnership. With each Sun also involving Uranian aspects, this tells us these two are twin flames, feeling equal parts lovers and friends! Alternatively, we do find Sun square Mars and Venus opposite Saturn aspects, but these aspects are inherent in the individual chart's make-up and therefore aren't new challenges for either party.
