You are not broken. Don't give your power away. We challenge the idea that churches teach and perpetuate that we are broken and need patriarchal figures of power to save us or make us happy. This is different and subtle from accepting the notion of a higher power. Learned helplessness is useless; well it's of use to a cult to hold power over you, so there is that.
