Description

Curtis Taylor III, Cricket the Kid from the Creek from San Jose is an LA-based stand-up comedian. Curtis gets on the road all over the West Coast and you can see him at The NW Black Comedy Festival taking place February 15th through the 18th.

I’ve known Curtis since 2016 primarily from spending time hanging out at The World-Famous Comedy Store while he was still based out of Bakersfield. Through him, I got my first headlining gig in 2021 and event since he relocated to LA, me and Curtis have been pretty much inseparable.

In this special brunch episode, me and Curtis talk about the importance of having hobbies outside of comedy, dressing sharp, recalls a fun story of a foot race to The Laugh Factory, gives me tips on where to find a black girlfriend, confesses to me that he plays trombone making me to want to start a ska band with him (probably not the best way to get a black girlfriend) and so much more; all over Vegemite and toast!
