Description

Today, on this episode of Counselor-on-call*, we will conclude the conversation about making mistakes. During this series, we've talked about shame, slip-ups, and falls.

In this episode we discuss:

Helpful notes:

10 surprising facts about trusting yourself:

  1. Helps you to grow your relationship with yourself and others
  2. Silences your inner critic
  3. Trust builds self-awareness
  4. Helps you to better determine who to trust and who to set up stronger boundaries with.
  5. You'll build resiliency - life won't knock you down as hard or as quickly
  6. You'll have more joy
  7. Increased love for others
  8. You become more action-oriented - as you spend less time doubting and judging yourself - you begin to get more done. This becomes a positive cycle instead of the vicious cycle I mentioned previously
  9. Helps you to be more present - instead of spending time regretting the past, when you trust yourself you live in the moment, becoming more present
  10. Instead of holding on to shame, you begin to see yourself for the masterpiece that God created. This helps you to grow your confidence.

Homework:

Reflect on these scriptures and you would open yourself up to the holy spirit so that you can build or rebuild trust with yourself.
