Comilla Sasson, MD, PhD is the Vice President for Science & Innovation for Emergency Cardiovascular Care at the American Heart Association. She is working to decrease health disparities, and uses community-based participation in research to identify and implement solutions to improve the health and wellbeing of community members. She has also contributed to medical research, which includes more than 90 publications in medical journals that include original work on geographic, racial/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in healthcare. Comilla and Dr. Nieca discuss the importance of learning CPR and how to promote the urgency of this life saving strategy.
