Lydia Clendenin is back on the podcast and just like her previous episode this one is going to stir things up! Our previous epsiode together (True Love Didn't Wait I got Divorced Instead) has been one of my most listened to and reviewed episode so I knew I had to bring Lydia back. Not only are we talking about the affects of Purity Culture, but most importantly we are talking about what happens when one loses their innocence. Lydia for the first time is sharing how she survived sexual assualt as a young teen and how that changed the course of her life, what she learned from it, and how Purity Culture was involved. We also talk about the importance of comprehensive sex education, talking to kids about sex/consent/what is appropriate, and even as adults how sex can be used to assert control or manipulation in a relationship.
