In this episode of The Shujaa Fitcast, we speak to Njoki Ndirangu, a Nairobi-based personal trainer and coach who has a diverse history in sports and athletics. Njoki's background as an athlete has consistently exposed her to the different ways one can push themselves physically; a challenge that she often welcomed wholeheartedly. However, her career took an interesting transition as she was preparing for a bodybuilding show in 2022, where she realized that fitness can, and has often prioritized a toxic message to the general public. Through reworking her own perspective and personal brand, Njoki hopes to battle the toxic message of absolute intensity that is prevalent in fitness, encouraging women of all walks of life to embrace fitness in a more holistic way.
