Description

15 year old Lise Clausen went missing while out for a jog and her body was found days later. She had been met by a repeat sex offender who was out on mandatory supervision (now called statutory release). In the aftermath of her daughters murder, Lise's mother Inge Clausen formed the first victims' advocacy group in Canada under the name Citizens United for Safety and Justice (CUSJ) which successfully lobbied for the families of victims to be allowed to prepare and read victim impact statements in the courtroom.
