Description

In episode 8, I discuss shoulder health with Iva Rimac. Iva gives an in depth description of the shoulder and the surrounding area. We talk about injuries that can occur at the shoulder and how to prevent them. Iva studied kinesiology at McGill University pursuing her passion for sports and curiosity for biology. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree she assisted in coaching fitness to elite junior tennis athletes. She enrolled at the Centre Osteopathique du Quebec to study osteopathy wanting to further understand body mechanics. She is now completing her osteopathy degree and working as an intern osteopath in Montreal with a varied clientele including tennis athletes and players. Her osteopathic approach with a kinesiology background looks at body mechanics and compensation patterns to find the most efficient way of bringing the body to self-regulate, recover optimally, and prevent injury.
