Garret runs a faith and fitness community in St Petersburg, FL called Full Armor Faith and recently completed our grueling 24 hour adventure race, the Oahu Pentathlon. In his faith & fitness community, they gather to strengthen their faith, build endurance in their walks with the Lord and do it all through the vehicle of fitness. They have recently expanded to two gyms in the Tampa Bay area and are gearing up to launch in a third!
His participation in the Oahu Pentathlon was to celebrate his 30th birthday. He was supported by his twin brother Justin and cousins. He shares, "From my church home in St Pete called Local Church, to Full Armor Faith, to the Oahu Pentathlon community, it is amazing to see God work through communities of believers to advance his kingdom. Seeing people like Sarah Mayo take a step out in faith, trust God, then see the results with relationships and communities built in ways only he can do, is special and inspiring.
In our interview, we dive into his race experience, how crucial his support team and other athletes around him were and how it is a similar experience to running a faith community.
