Description

Let's talk FASTING BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS. All caps necessary because I know it can be the most frustrating thing ever when you're trying everything to get that number down and it just won't budge.

The 2 specific questions below came up recently, and I thought you might be able to relate?
In this episode I unpack these questions and discuss a whole range of strategies you can use to (**fingers crossed!** get your fasting blood sugar under control .

Enjoy!

1. I've woken up to 4.9 the last two mornings and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on lowering them?
I did start off at mid 4s weeks ago, but the past few weeks they've been mostly 4.7 and 4.8 and I've been sick too, so sleeping poorly.
My supper snacks are usually more protein and less carbs.
Does exercising after supper help?
I was thinking of testing at 8, 9 and 10 hours to see the difference.
My limit is less than 5.0, but when I've had the occasional 5.0 they haven't counted it.

2. This is my second pregnancy so had to test early and found i have GD a few days ago. I'm 18 weeks. Last time my numbers were well within limit after meals but had to go on protaphane for my fasting numbers.
I have only been testing for a few days and its the same this time, fasting numbers are between 5.2-5.4.
I just want to make sure I have tried everything I can that is in my control - I have tried a bed time snack, checking my fasting numbers at 8 / 9 / 10 hours fasting, lowering carb intake during the day, drinking lots of water - what am I missing? Is there anything else I can do???
