In part 2 of our interview with Sergeant Brandon Harris of the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, we jump right in by discussing the # of hunting and fishing licenses in Virginia and whether they are increasing or decreasing. The process for bag limits is discussed as well as the overall management plan for wildlife in VA. Part of that process is determined by population #'s of various species which can be affected by disease and invasive species. After that we jump into the fun stuff like the mechanical bucks that are used to catch poachers and whether mountain lions are here in Virginia. We finish off by talking about the Re-introduction of Elks in Virginia and the process of drawing a tag. As usual, Mike and Shawn insert their unique sense of humor throughout!
