Description

On today's podcast episode, Dr. Cheryl Hardy talks about the importance of self care for caregivers.

Are you a caretaker?

This is a job that most people did not ask for, but the circumstances and life will call for it (in some cases). So, you were chosen for the job. Being a caregiver is hard, however, you must take care of yourself first before taking care of anyone else. Take the time to eat well, stretch your body gently daily, and be kind to your mental health.

Make prayer your daily routine, asking God for strength, grace, and peace.

There will be days when you will become weary in well-doing. It is okay not to be okay. It's okay to feel and allow the feeling to go through you as you deal and heal.  Remember feel, deal, and heal is a process, and take your time with it while managing life and increasing your coping skills.
