My friend and colleague Jo Langford joins me on The Heartful Parent Podcast today! Jo is a dad, a Master's-level therapist, an author, and a sex educator for tweens, teens and parents. He is here today to tell us all about his new editions of his Spare Me the Talk book series.
If you know a 12-22 year old, then you need to hear all about these books.. The books (along with Jo's other work) focus on the "messes" that happen when you smash together adolescence, sexuality, technology and the world we live in. Jo sets out to give factual and relevant information in easily digestible chunks to the kids who are at this intersection in their lives. And I have to say, I love it!
Jo and I dig into not only what he has put into the new additions of his books, but also why these additional topics are so important. We talk about how much the world has changed in the last 10 years and why it's so hard to be a parent and a kid now.
You can find out more about Jo's work to promote healthy, positive and safe sexual and social behavior can be found at his website: beheroes.net.
