In todays episode, Jaden discusses the thought of before and afters. So many people focus so much on the before and the after, that the during becomes an afterthought. That is to say that, people will focus so much on the future result and what it was like before that they don't foucs on what they are currently doing. Who they are currently Becoming. And then, when the goal is achieved, it feels empty. When you get that promotion, raise in salary, finish that project, lose those 20 lbs, gain that muscle... It all feels the same. People will seek validation in the completion of their goals, and not in the journey of who they are.
Focus on the during. Not so much of the before and the after. They become these two events that are separate and when they are done and gone, what is left? Instead, focus on who you are becoming to reach those goals, or who do you have to become?
With 75 hard, focus on the habits being built, instead of completing the challenge. Think about day 76. What are you left with when the dust settles? Focus on building habits AND keeping them once you've reached the milestone that you're going for.
