Many of the deceased Palestinian bodies that Israel has returned to Palestine as part of the ceasefire agreement show signs of torture and mutilation. Several bodies were received with their hands tied behind their backs, and with blindfolds over their eyes. The Health Ministry also said that several bodies showed signs of strangulation from hangings, with ropes found tied around the bodies' necks, while others bore marks of tank tracks. Other bodies were found with missing organs. Families whose loved ones had been missing gathered at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis for any information about the identities of the bodies. They sat in a large room and watched as health authorities displayed pictures of the bodies, most of them disfigured and mutilated, trying to find any identifying features of their loved ones.
