The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave, but not has not been fired or arrested. Protests calling for the officer to be arrested erupted Tuesday outside Senatobia City Hall and at the Walmart parking lot, and police deployed tear gas to disperse the protesters. Although police accuse Wiley of stealing the diapers and attempting to hit the officer with her car, she has not been charged with any crime.
