Do you, a friend, or family member struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? What does PTSD or CPSTD even look like? And what tools are available to manage the symptoms?
Join Amanda and fellow local author and coach, Susan Snow, for a heartfelt and heart-wrenching look at the tragedy that took her father's life, leaving her with severe PTSD that went undiagnosed for 14 years, wreaking havoc on her life and causing troubles in her marriage.
Through honest, vulnerable conversation, the two ladies explore:
🔥The emotional mask of "Strong Susan" that she wore because everyone told her that's who she was, ignoring her true pain
🔥The importance of finding the right mental health professional who you feel comfortable with and who is proficient in modalities to treat your particular kind of trauma
🔥How crucial sleep is in healing, and the power of journaling to help you fall asleep
🔥Secondary trauma resulting from overexposure to traumatic images and visuals in today's media
🔥Joy is the opposite of fear, and you are allowed (and maybe even have a duty), to feel joy to combat fear
🔥The power you have to save a life with a smile
🔥How Susan's father's death has given her purpose
