Shojai means brave and brave they are! Iranian sisters Saba and Shokouh Shojai share the incredible bravery sorrounding their journey and the story of their family. Shokouh is the oldest sister who was born during a politially charged time in Iran. In turn, their father became an advoacte for human rights and freedom. He and 14 of his family memebrs were imprisioned for a decade and executed. He was the only survvior. After extreme torture he was relased from prison and reunited with his family and later Saba was born. In constant fear, the family made a decision to leave Iran forever. Saba and Shokouh have made it their purpose to use their voice to share their family's story and inspire others who have been supressed for far too long to know they are not alone.
