Hey there, my beloved butthole breathers!
Today, I'm coming to you from the beach, taking a break from the hustle and bustle of life to focus on the podcast and my online stuff. But let's talk about something we all struggle with: sleep. I'm sure many of you can relate when I say that sometimes sleep just isn't that easy for us or gets disrupted by the chaos of life.
So, I've got four sleeping hacks for you to implement right now.
First off, you've got to establish a non-negotiable bedtime routine. Just like when we were kids getting tucked in every night, having a routine can help signal to our bodies that it's time to wind down. Take a cue from your childhood and create a routine that works for you.
Personally, I love starting with a 5 to 10-minute Epsom salt bath followed by breathing exercises. This helps me relax and calm my mind. And if you're an athlete like one of my professional hockey players, incorporating some movement during your routine can be soothing for your body.
Next, ditch the phone in bed, (Make that all tech). I know, it's tough for us all. But the blue light from our phones can really mess with our sleep. So, try setting your phone to "do not disturb" and put it somewhere else.
Instead, use those moments before bed to read a book. It helps shift your focus and calm your mind, making it easier to fall asleep.
Next I need you to find what feels good for you in terms of relaxation activities before bed. Maybe it's drinking a cup of warm tea. Breathing. Doing something to relax the body and mind so you can find your zzz's.
You also have to make sure you have a cool pillow to rest your head on. I love a good cold pillow. Maybe your pillow isn't the key item to your bedtime routine but make sure you are comfortable. This might be a cozy blanket or something that soothes your mind and body.
So, there you have it, my butthole breathers. Four sleeping hacks to improve your slumber.
Give them a try and let me know how they work for you.
Wishing you sweet dreams!
