Description

Join your host, Seirra, and her guest Marie Diver as they discuss Marie's journey with finding out she needed brain surgery, having brain surgery and then her post op visit. Through Marie's diagnosis she began to grow her relationship with God between finding a church community and doing reading and research on her own. Family and friends offered her support and prayers as she went through one of the biggest and scariest situations in her life. She spent time leaning on God to heal and recover, but around a year and a half she found out she might need a second surgery. Listen and see how Marie processed the news of another surgery being a possibility in her future.

Main Take Aways:

  1. Don't be focused on why me because why other people? Be thankful for the good that is in your life. Yes, the unknown is scary but there is still a lot of good in every day.
  2. Not everything bad that happens to you is given to you by God. Bad things happen in this world because of sin, our free will, and the enemy. God doesn't make everything that is bad happen to us but he can use that bad for good if you let Him.
  3. Reach out to people because even though it feels like no one will understand there will be someone who understands and can help you.
  4. Prayer is powerful so in a difficult season pray for yourself and reach out to others and ask them for prayers as well.

When you get a scary diagnosis like this it can either bring you closer to God or it can drive a wedge between you and God. Don't let it drive that wedge, that's what the enemy wants you to do. Instead get on your knees and pray. Reach out to your community and ask for help and prayers. And as hard as it might be trust God because He will help you through it.
