Hopefully you’ve enjoyed a few weeks of episodes where we’ve dug deep into reading our Bible. I think the takeaways are many, but mostly the key is the intentionality in doing it each day by having a time, place, and plan for reading.
This week we are talking about different tools that can help us study our Bible. By no means are these a must-have, but the resources available can be helpful in gaining deeper understanding. Mary DeMurth is joining me today to talk about the various resources available for Bible study, and she’s a great person to join us because she’s written close to 50 books in the faith genre.
Mary and I both share our favorite resources today, which include commentaries, online concordances, Bible reading plans, and Bible studies. Mary has a brand new book out that gives a 90-day plan for reading through the entire Bible (in about one hour a day). As a part of this 90-day reading plan, she encourages us to incorporate “brisk” reading into our Bible study.
Take a few minutes to listen today, and even consider doing some research on which tool(s) might help you get more out of your daily Bible reading.
