This week we continue our journey into Revelation with our good friend “The Doctor”. In this episode Rick relates stories of how he walks with God in the marketplace. Ultimately, we enter into discovery of how God works in unconventional ways through unconventional people in everyday, ordinary circumstances; thereby, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Through Rick’s Wild stories of walking with God in a very unique way, a way that only The Doctor can, we get a picture of what it looks like to walk more fully in God's revelation of himself to us personally. We also get a picture of what it might look like to live as God’s friend, his intimate ally. We love Rick. He is a character- think Old Testament character. One of the things we appreciate about him is how he changes the way we think about what your typical Christian man looks like. David was a character. Peter was a character. Abraham was a character “and he was called a friend of God”. (James 2:23 ESV) In the same way, God calls The Doctor “friend of mine”. In all of this week’s episode we continue to discover what God is like through the stories told.
