Shea Leona started her first business ten years ago after finishing her Holistic Health Certification in health, nutrition, and lifestyle at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. However, her journey into wellness began long before that. When Shea was 17, she was over 220lbs and prediabetic. Over the next few years, she shed over 100 pounds physically and decided to pursue nutrition to bring the change she had experienced to others. Shea has always been interested in the occult and metaphysics. She has worked closely with a mentor in the healing arts, and she had no idea at the time of all the places the relationship would take her. Shea studied Reiki and eventually became a Reiki Master specializing in an Atlantean 13 Chakra energy system. This path led her to acquire healing tools, including facilitating past life regressions, soul progressions, energy healing, crystal healing, and sound healing.
Shea's health coaching practice morphed into a general wellness practice where she worked with women on the physical, mental, and emotional levels to bring more balance and overall wellness into their lives. Shea has offered many workshops and events over the years, both in person and online, ranging from weight loss to the benefits of fermented foods to priestessing large group gatherings, meditations, and moon ceremonies honoring the cycles of nature and the cycles within us. In late 2017, Shea suffered a head injury, which caused her to evaluate her priorities. So, in early 2018, she decided to close her healing practice and focus on healing herself while simultaneously fully recovering from her hormonal imbalances along the way.
Up until this point in her life, Shea believed she would never be able to have children. That all changed in 2019 when she was surprised to find herself pregnant by my partner of almost ten years. She spent the next few years growing and nourishing two children, and it has been the highlight of her life. Shea began pursuing bookkeeping as a mother because she knew it was a skill she needed in her own life. The back-end stuff, the not-fun business stuff of tracking, keeping records, what's a write-off, what's not, filing taxes, all of those aspects of owning a business were such a struggle for her. It was the most significant stress factor in all her previous business ventures. So naturally, she set out to conquer it. https://www.mysticalbookkeeping.com/
