In this episode of Cocktails With Friends, our host, Bob Cutler sits down with his good friend Coach Steve Trimper. Steve is the Head Coach of Stetson Baseball in Deland, Flordia and Bob's former boss. The two friends talk about their respective college coaching carrers, parenting D1 college athletes, how a man who can't send an email wrote a book that landed on Amazon's best seller list. Coach's love of gin cocktails. The converstional sipper for this show, Walk Off Winning, is a crushable whiskey smash featuring a Watermellon Basil Simple. This cocktail was created with the help of Steve's youngest daughter (by two minutes) Morgan Trimper.

Featured Cocktail: Walk Off Winning

• 2 ounces Bourbon
• 1/2 ounce Watermelon Basil Simple
• 1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
• Shake all ingrediants and serve over rocks for a refreshing crushable whiskey cocktail

Making Watermelon Basil Simple Syrup

• Blend handful of seedless watermelon chunks until you are left watermelon water
• Weigh watermelon water & add equal amount of whate sugar
• Add several leaves of basil to mixture and stir
• Bring mixture to boil or until sugar is disolved
• Let simmer on low heat for five minutes 
• Cool in a waterbath for two hours 
• Remove basil leaves once cooled
