  • Recently there was a wedding ceremony in my family. They were both divorced previously; one was married in the Catholic Church with no annulment. The wedding was outdoors. After the vows/ceremony, a deacon of the Church (Novus Ordo) went up and gave a blessing and a prayer. Is this allowed by the Church?
  • Does God continue to bless someone if they are in a state of mortal sin from past offenses? Should a person judge whether or not they are in God's friendship by whether or not they receive blessings from God?
  • When having masses said for deceased loved ones who were Protestant, is there any special way to go about it? I also had a grandfather who was a freemason and wondered if it was OK to have masses for the repose of his soul?
  • I have been struggling with anxiety and depression. Are there any Bible verses that touch on this subject? Is there a prayer I can say relating to anxiety?
