In Today's Show
  • What are your hobbies in your day to day life?
  • In the Gospels, we are told that John the Baptist preached, "A baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins."  And later, when John had been arrested by Herod, that the disciples of Jesus (though not Jesus Himself) did the same thing. But since, at the time of John's activity, Jesus had not yet been crucified, and therefore His blood not yet shed for the forgiveness of sin, and no bloody sacrifice was offered at the Jordan in compliance with the Law of Moses, upon what basis would those being baptized have reason to believe that by this action their sins were forgiven?
  • How are readings in Latin selected? Are they connected to the Gospel?
  • I have a female friend becoming a Lutheran pastor and she has asked me to be her sponsor. Am I allowed to do that?
  • Do Muslims and Catholics worship the same God?
  • I confiscated a t-shirt that my teenage son received as a gift because it featured profanity. Is this considered stealing?
  • Is it still mandatory for priests to say Mass every day?
  • If someone has been studying Catholicism on their own, is it required or optional for them to attend the entire RCIA?  What are the options for someone who has studied on their own, has attended Mass and studies what each part of the Mass is doing, each sacrament, etc?  Can the Bishop confirm them?
  • Isn't it possible that someone has already been confirmed by God outside of Catholicism because that is where God could reach them?
  • Can you explain the changes in the liturgy of Good Friday from 1955 to 1962? I see the biggest change was communion being offered in the 62 and not in the 55.
  • Is praying the Holy Face Chaplet ok to do?
  • Would it be wrong to not receive/decline when in a state of grace on Good Friday when communion is offered?
  • How does one discern God's will in their life?
  • Is it OK to have a Mass said for someone who was not a Catholic?  What are the "rules" on Mass intentions?
