Episode 67 – Canine Adolescence – The Terrible Teens

Is your lovely puppy changing before your very eyes?

Are they showing behaviours you have never seen before and are, quite frankly, challenging and disturbing?

Are they pushing boundaries and taking more risks?

Are they growing into larger and stronger dogs that are becoming difficult to handle?

Is this putting a strain on your relationship with them?

The reason? Adolescence.

Just like human children, young dogs also go through a developmental period known as adolescence and just like with human children, this can be a challenging, but hugely important time.

The reason you are feeling overwhelmed is because you possibly didn't realise that canine adolescence is a thing.

The reason you are struggling to understand your dog is because you didn't know about all the physical and emotional changes that take place in this time.

The reason your relationship might be challenged is because you don't know yet how to help your dog through this period.
