According to researchers and psychologists, belonging or relatedness or connectedness is considered a human need for effective functioning.
Yet, even with all this love and connection with our family and friends, because the human need for belonging is so strong, the moment we experience any form of rejection, even if it's not from anyone close to us, it can cut as sharp as a knife.
Because let's face it. Rejection sucks.
