Description

Maria Molina Monroy is a first-generation Colombian-American and first-time author
debuting her story Latinas Berracas in Latinas Rising: Breaking Generational Chains and
Becoming Change Makers.

She hopes to inspire new generations of Latinas to transform their lives into the life they are meant to live rather than repeating the ancestral cycle. She was born and raised in the diverse melting pot of Queens, New York where she survived her parents’ tumultuous relationship, and immersed herself into a future of breaking free from generational chains.

After graduating from Baruch College-CUNY, Maria built a successful career in Human Resources Management that spans three decades. She is an advocate and ally for women and underrepresented minorities highlighting the importance of mentors and sponsors. Maria is married with 3 children ( 2 daughters and son) and is an 8-year cancer survivor currently prioritizing her self-care through art, meditation, and yoga.
