Description

In this episode, author Sarah Steele shares her mental health journey and how anxiety, codependency, and boundaries have impacted her life. She also talks about the misconceptions surrounding boundaries, including red flags.

Takeaways:

  • Anxiety can be masked and self-medicated through acts of service, but it's important to acknowledge and speak out about it.
  • Boundaries are not selfish or mean; they are God's idea and essential for healthy relationships.
  • Setting boundaries can lead to freedom, healthier relationships, and a focus on God's guidance.
  • Feeling and acknowledging our emotions is an important part of the healing process.
  • The Bible and God's Word can provide comfort and guidance.

Sarah Steele is a poet and recovering people-pleaser.
