Greetings Pod Fam, it's our second musical reading! On the pod we have a legendary icon, seamstress of the essences Erica Dicker, violinist, improviser, composer, professor, ETC. We talk about a glorious range of things here, weighing in on far too much to list. So here's a list:
Violin extended techniques, NYC soundscapes, Long Legs w/ Nicholas Cage, Death and 'the 5-minute Bow,' J.K. Rowling, News Media, Chamber music politics, sleep paralysis demons, and Chakra seed sounds... among other things.
What would have been already a very noise-heavy episode (due to poor mic placement and excessive table banging and bumping while we destroyed whiskey and fernet) has been rendered more interestingly so through a generous addition of music, most of which is off of Erica's awesome album Blood Luxury. Other additions are courtesy of Phil (including an alchemical mixture of excerpts from Entropy Undone from Blood Luxury with ATU X improvisations by Phil), Highline Quartet, Gaiea Sanskrit, RuPaul, Kim Petras, and Solomon the King.
